It gives us great pleasure to invite you to the "International Conference on Perspectives of Climate Change and Plant Diversity Inter-Relations". This Conference will be organized by Manipal Life Sciences Centre, Manipal University, Manipal – 576104, Karnataka on 17th and 18th of November 2011. The Conference will provide a platform to share knowledge and views in various fields of Climate change and its relationship with Plant Diversity. This would be an excellent opportunity for researchers, academia and Industries to exchange ideas, share the latest findings and to form new collaborations in related fields. Eminent researchers of National and International repute will share their research findings and provide valuable insight on the subject. A parallel poster session will be included for the participants to showcase their research findings.
The Conference This two-day conference will strive to disseminate information on recent trends in climate change and its effect on plant diversity. Invited speakers from various Institutes/Universities will share their research experience and ideas through lecture. The following are the major themes (oral and poster) to be covered during the conference: 1. Factors influencing climate change and global warming 2. Impact of global warming on plant biodiversity 3. Influence of climate change on plant growth and development 4. Tracking crucial photosynthetic mechanisms influencing greenhouse effects 5. Manipulation of plant physiology to confront greenhouse gases
