Abstract Submission

Rules for abstract submission

  • The abstract for podium or poster presentation should be submitted after registration for the CME.
  • The character count limit is 300 words. This does not include the title or author string or spaces.
  • Submission of an Abstract constitutes a commitment by the author(s) to present it if accepted.
  • Presentation must be in English (American or British usage is accepted).
  • The abstract title must indicate the nature of the investigation. Use sentence case and capitalize the first word in the title only. Do not use abbreviations in the title of the abstract. Standard abbreviations may be used without definition in the text.
  • Author names should be written in full but without degrees.
  • Last date for submitting abstracts is September 15th 2018 .
  • The organizing committee will screen all abstracts submitted. Selected abstracts will be chosen for podium presentations and the remaining abstracts will be accepted as poster presentation. The presenter will be informed of the decision regarding the status of their abstract well in advance.
  • If you wish to withdraw your abstract after final date, you must inform the Scientific Committee by e-mail at apgap2018@gmail.com
  • Attractive prizes will be awarded to the best poster and best podium paper. Certificates will be given to all participants.

Format for abstract- paper

Abstracts must include the following
  • Introduction- brief introductory sentence
  • Aims and objectives - the purpose of the study
  • Subjects and methods - specify study design and a brief description of pertinent procedures, including statistical analysis
  • Results - main findings
  • Conclusion - statement of the conclusion

Format for abstract - Case Reports

Abstracts must include the following
  • Introduction
  • Case description
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion / Take home message

Delegates with selected abstracts will have to present e-paper/ case reports.

Guidelines for e- poster

1. LCD projection of the e-poster will be done on a large screen
2. Presentation time – 4 + 2 minutes (presentation and discussion)
3. Presentation must be only in one slide in portrait format
4. Use the templates available at http://www.eposterboards.com/poster
5. Font size for screen details to be seen from a distance. Size of at least 28 points (readable at 10 feet). Headings to be two fonts bigger
6. Images: .JPEG / .PNG format at 72 or 96 dpi
7. E-papers should be discussed under the following headings
  • Introduction- brief introductory sentence,
  • Aims and objectives - the purpose of the study,
  • Subjects and methods - specify study design and a brief description of pertinent procedures, including statistical analysis ,
  • Results and tables - main findings,
  • Conclusion- statement of the conclusion

8. E-case reports should be discussed under the following headings- Introduction, Case description, Discussion, Conclusion / Take home message
