About CISCON 2025

Control Instrumentation Systems conference (CISCON) is a flagship event organized since 2004, by the Instrumentation and Control engineering department at Manipal Institute of Technology Manipal. This conference over the years has become a most sought-after conference and gave platform for both national and international participants to present their research papers and deliberate. Also witnessed many experts from reputed industry/institutes from India/abroad present Keynote/invited lectures. CISCON-2025, XXII edition is planned to be organized during 1-2 August 2025. Through the conference, we anticipate researchers, industry experts and academic experts deliberate challenges and ideas related to current trends in instrumentation, control, and systems engineering. The conference provides attendees and stakeholders a chance to do the networking while exposing to recent technical advancements.

In an era marked by rapid technological advancements and complex systems, the theme for CISCON-2025 is set to inspire, challenge, and illuminate the path forward. We are proud to announce our conference theme: : “Bridging Artificial Intelligence with Technologies for Systems and Control Engineering”. As we sail through the sea of technological change, this theme invites participants to explore and chart the course for the future of control, instrumentation, and systems engineering. The theme underscores the importance of innovation, adaptability, and sustainability in a world where automation, data-driven decision-making, and interconnected systems have become the norm.

Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), A Constituent Unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, Karnataka plays a vital role in producing world-class engineers tuned to the demands of a fast-changing global village. Starting in 1957 as Manipal Engineering College, MIT was the first self-financed engineering college in India. It offers 16 B. E. programs and 25 M. Tech programs in various disciplines. All the departments have well-equipped laboratories and modern multimedia classrooms. In addition, there are a number of central facilities which include a central library housed in a separate building with a total area of about 70000 sq. ft., a well-equipped workshop, sports and games facilities with indoor and outdoor playgrounds, central computing facility equipped with state-of-the-art computers and peripherals. The campus has an excellent infrastructure for academic activities, sports, and other extracurricular activities. The infrastructure includes an air-conditioned cuisine food court. Nearly 8000 students are staying on the campus for their graduate and postgraduate studies. The campus provides a cosmopolitan and congenial atmosphere.

About Us

Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, MIT

The Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering was started in the year 2001 with an intake of 30 students at Manipal Institute of Technology. The department has started B. Tech. program in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering in 2018 with an intake of 60, B. Tech program in Cyber Physical Systems with an intake of 120. Department also has M. Tech programs in Electronics Engineering with two specializations in Embedded Control & Automation and Immersive Technologies. In addition, department offers M. Sc. program in Immersive Technologies. Department faculty guide PhD students in diverse domains like biomedical image processing / computer vision, sensor design, process control, smart transportation, etc. The Department is offering following courses
