About Manipal Academy of Higher Education


Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) was recognized as an Institute of Eminence by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, in 2018. Over 35,000 students from 60 different nations live, learn, and play in the sprawling university town on a plateau in Karnataka’s Udupi district. MAHE houses almost 3000 faculty members and over 10000 support and service staff, who cater to the various professional institutions in health sciences, engineering, management, communication, and humanities.

About Manipal College of Nursing


Manipal College of Nursing (MCON), a constituent institution of MAHE, was established in 1990 and is one of the leading institutions in India for nursing education and research. It is the first nursing college in India accredited by the environmental ISO 14001:2015. MCON is ranked #1 among India’s top 10 undergraduate courses and institutes for Bachelor programs in Nursing, per the World India-Higher Education Ranking 2023-2024. MCON has six clinical nursing departments that offer various academic programs, starting from B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic certificate programs, postgraduate programs in M.Sc, Ph.D. nursing, and Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care programs. MCON offers dual degree programs in Basic B.Sc Nursing in collaboration with the University of Brunswick, Canada.
