ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
There is a growing recognition of the critical importance of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in health for global collaboration in healthcare education, research, and practice. This is important since India is a vast and diverse country with many cultures, languages, genders, religions, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Significant disparities in healthcare access, outcomes, and experiences exist within these diverse landscapes, which necessitate a multifaceted approach encompassing education, research, collaboration, and clinical practice. EDI principles and strategies are also crucial for promoting cultural humility, sensitivity, and competency, driving healthcare innovations and research, improving healthcare practice, upholding social justice and human rights, and demonstrating global health leadership. By prioritizing these principles, we can work towards building equitable, inclusive, and responsive healthcare education, research, and clinical practice systems that will meet the needs of a diverse populace.
This international conference is a pivotal platform for academicians/educators, researchers, administrators, and significant healthcare education and industry stakeholders to converge, collaborate, and innovate toward building a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive healthcare education and practice system. This venture would promise to be dynamic and transformative and provide a forum for dialogue, collaboration, and action towards creating equitable, diverse, and inclusive healthcare education, research, and clinical practice systems. Further, this conference calls for action for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) like good health & well-being, quality education, and reduced inequality. By sharing knowledge, experiences, and resources, the participants will play a crucial role in driving positive changes through global collaboration, evidence-based practices, and advocating policy and structural changes to achieve health equity for all individuals, regardless of their diverse backgrounds or identities.
Objectives:
- To collaborate with academic institutions and professional organizations to understand the global perspectives on EDI in healthcare education, research, and practice through cultural humility and cross-border innovation.
- To create collaborative global collaboration and research networks that promote EDI through empowering vulnerable and marginalized communities in healthcare education, research, multidisciplinary communication, generation/sharing of information/resources, and evidence-based healthcare practice.
- To advocate policy and structural changes to achieve health equity for a sustainable future.
