Theme of the Event

Formal examination which is as old as the 2nd century B.C can rightly be defined as the assessment of a person’s performance when confronted with a series of questions, problems, or tasks, in order to ascertain the amount of knowledge that he/she has acquired. It also provides an insight on the extent to which he/she is able to utilize it and the quality and effectiveness of the skills he/she has acquired. During the 19th century, formal written examinations became regular in universities, schools, and other educational institutions.

Any form of examination, be it a formative or summative, written or clinical, viva voce or chairside discussion is a challenge. Masters examination greatly differ from an undergraduate one in terms of level of competency, depth of knowledge, clinical skills, problem solving ability, etc . There are no set rules or prescribed guidelines to crack an examination with every examination being unique in its own way.

In an attempt to facilitate the Masters students to prepare effectively for their forthcoming university examination, Department of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge has planned for a 2 days workshop, titled, “Master the Masters Examination” by inviting experts who have long served both as internal as well as external examiners to share their knowledge, observations and expertise and guide the students to tackle the examination effectively.

The program is scheduled on 3 & 4 January 2020, at  Lecture Hall 5A, 5th Floor, Melaka Manipal Medical College, MAHE, Manipal.
