On most days, there is a serpentine queue outside the Manipal Museum of Anatomy and Pathology, or MAP, a sprawling building diagonally opposite the main education building.

The museum is open from 8 am to 6 pm on all days, except public holidays. While a small fee is charged from the public, it is free for the students and faculty of Manipal University.

SEARCH Library

The Central Library of Manipal Institute of Technology(MIT) is located in the heart of the institution and is therefore accessible to students at all times. The three-storey library is fully air- conditioned and occupies a total area of about 70,000 square feet and can accommodate 800 users at a time. The books, journals, magazines and their back volumes, DVDs and all resources are available for the use of faculty and students of the following institutes.

Innovation Centre

The MIT Innovation Centre nurtures innovation, and encourages entrepreneurial talents among students, faculty and people of the region. It facilitates inter-disciplinary research and provides incubation facilities to start ups and budding entrepreneurs.

Medical Simulation Centre

The Medical Simulation Centre at Manipal University is a new concept in the field of medical education.


Manipal University's Sports Complex named 'MARENA' is an exciting one with state-of-the-art facilities made to cater to the recreational and fitness needs of students and staff.The idea of a complex such as this stemmed from the fact that Manipal is totally drenched for about six months during monsoons, frustrating sports enthusiasts and the fitness freaks.
