The Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), founded in 1957, is a constituent institution of Manipal University. MIT is one of the premier engineering institutes in India, reckoned for its academic excellence in engineering sciences, for shaping world-class engineers. With total strength of over 10000 students, MIT has emerged as the largest institute of the university. MIT currently offers undergraduate programs (B.Tech.) in 16 disciplines and postgraduate courses (M.Tech. / MCA) in 27 different streams and Doctoral programs (Ph.D.) in all streams of engineering, basic sciences, humanities and management.
