IGCLA provides all delegates the opportunity to present their research work at the conference. If you have a research proforma that you would like to showcase this is your platform, as IGCLA offers the unique opportunity to showcase your work and discuss them with the subject matter experts from over the world! If you have no experience in research, don’t worry, because IGCLA is here to guide you and take you across the realms of research and innovation, because the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step!

CASE REPORT PRESENTATION

Indo German Convention of Lindau Alumni offers all delegates of IGCLA 2019 a platform to submit an abstract for presentation of case reports in poster, followed by an oral format. Recorded cases will be presented before a distinguished panel and audience, followed by questioning and referencing by the panellists. This is a unique opportunity for you to discuss and take back a feedback to further the scope of research and interact with experts who deal with them, every day!



ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

1. The abstract should be brief, informative and should provide an overview of the clinical case.

2. Abstract format- MS Word 2010 or higher.

3. Abstract must include title, author name and affiliation.(department, institution, University)

4. The abstract should not be more than 250 words.

5. Title of the abstract should be informative and must be less than 20 words.

6. Recommended structure of your case in the Abstract content:
           1. Case report
           2. Discussion
           3. Conclusion

7. Last date for abstract submission is 10th September 2019, 23:59 hrs.

8. The acceptance of abstracts will be notified through email on or before 12th September 2019.

9. The candidates whose abstracts are selected need to register for IGCLA on the website by filling in registration details online and by payment of the registration fee.

POSTER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES


1. A space of (Dimensions 36x48 inches) will be made available to each participant.
            36 inches- Horizontal
            48 inches - Vertical

2. The font style and size should be legible and readable from a distance.

3. The poster should contain the following :
            a. Introduction
            b. History
            c. Investigation
            d. Treatment
            e. Differential diagnosis
            f. Discussion
            g. Diagnosis
            h. Conclusion

4. Any images used should be original and from the institution one belongs to. Clarity should be maintained.

5. Presentation time of 3 min will be provided to each participant followed by a 2 min Question and Answer round.

6. The decision taken by the judges shall be final and abiding.

7. Certificates will only be given to the presenter (No certificate shall be provided even to the guide).

8. Most importantly
            1. The case report should belong to the hospital of the institute.
            2. Identity of the subject or patient shouldn't be revealed.
            3. Investigation results mentioned or displayed should be directly obtained.



RESEARCH POSTER PRESENTATION

Indo German Convention of Lindau Alumni offers all delegates of IGCLA 2019 a platform to present posters on original research, single cases or case series on related topics at the conference. If you have performed a basic study in the topics of your interest, come showcase them at IGCLA in front of a crowd of experts, young scientists and researchers! If you are a first time researcher, come showcase your work here! Interact with the best subject matter experts from a plethora of fields! Delegates with an interest for research are given the opportunity to present their poster under separate categories.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES


1. The abstract should be brief, informative and should provide an overview of the research.

2. Abstract format- MS Word 2010 or higher.

3. Abstract must include title, author name, and affiliation (Department, institution and university).

4. Title of abstract should be informative and must be less than 20 words.

5. Each abstract can have a maximum of four co-authors

6. The abstract should be not more than 350 words

7. Last date for abstract submission is on or before 10th September 2019, 23:59 hrs..

8. The acceptance of abstracts will be notified through email on or before 12th September 2019.

9. The Candidates whose abstracts are selected need to register for IGCLA on the website by filling in registration details online and by payment of the registration fee.

10. Abstracts can be sent under any of the topics mentioned in the table below.

11. Mention the category code of abstract on the top (the one best suitable in the given table).

12. The submitted abstracts will be screened by an expert panel and subjected to plagiarism check by Turnitin software.

13. The presenter of the accepted abstract shall prepare a poster as per the guidelines and display on specified date and time.

POSTER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES:

1. Only individual entries shall be accepted.

2. A space of dimensions 36x48 inches will be made available for each poster ( 36 inches is horizontal and 48 inches is vertical).

3. Presentation time of about 5 minutes for poster/abstract (3min = Presentation + 2min = Q&A ).

4. The font size and style should be legible and readable from the distance . Any image or such material used should be original and from the institution one belongs to. Clarity should be maintained.

5. The sections of the poster should be organized reflecting the background of the study.

6. Format suggested for posters

• Category code
• Title-should be descriptive and must contain the author’s names and affiliations.
• Introduction
• Objectives
• Materials and Methods
• Results
• Discussion
• Conclusion
• Acknowledgements: cite the funding agency or the sponsor for the study (if any)
• References: A list of the references relevant to the work.

7. Decision taken by the judges about the respective winners shall be final and abiding.

8. Certificates will only be provided to the presenter. No certificate will be given to the co-authors and mentors.

9. Most importantly

• The research should be original
• References cited should be accurate
• Plagiarism shall lead to disqualification
• Original data and images should be used


THESIS/DISSERATION PRESENTATION

Indo German Convention of Lindau Alumni offers all delegates of IGCLA 2019, pursuing studies of graduation(PG) and higher; a platform and opportunity to present abstracts and study of their PG thesis. The Thesis is more than a mere requirement, as it highlights your passion for your field of specialisation. Come showcase and exchange ideas in your research work with the best in your field!

1. The abstract should be brief, informative and should provide an overview of the thesis.

2. Abstract format- MS Word 2010 or higher.

3. The abstract should not be more than 400 words.

4. Title of the abstract should be descriptive and must be less than 20 words.

5. Abstract must include Title, Author and Guide name, Subject and Affiliation of the Author [Department, Institution, University].

6. Recommended structure of the abstract:
• Introduction
• Aim of the Thesis
• Methods used
• Results
• Conclusion
• Implication

7. Last date for abstract submission is 10th September 2019, 23:59 hrs.
8. The acceptance of abstracts will be notified through email on or before 12th September 2019.
9. The presenter of the accepted entry shall prepare a presentation as per the guidelines and display on specified date and time.

PRESENTATION GUIDELINES


1. The presentation would be of 7 minutes followed by 3 minute question-answer round.

2. Presentation format- MS PowerPoint 2010 or higher.

3. Please make sure that the font size and font style is readable from a distance.

4. The pictures used should be original and must not reveal the identity of subjects or patients and also the picture clarity should be maintained.

5. Presentation must include Title, Author and Guide name, Degree, Subject and Affiliation of the Author [Department, Institution, University].

6. Recommended structure of the PowerPoint Presentation
           • Introduction
           • Description of the aim of the Thesis
           • Methods used
           • Structure of the Thesis and Content
           • Results
           • Conclusion
           • Implication

7. The questions will be asked as deemed fit by the judges.

8. The decision of the judges shall be final and abiding.

9. Certificates will be given only to Presenter (None for Guide and co-authors).

10. Most importantly, please make sure
           • Thesis is Original
           • Proper references are given
           • Data and pictures used should be self-obtained.
