In 1999, MSF received the Nobel Peace Prize. They are an independent, neutral and impartial organization. This workshop is about there efforts and millions of people who have been helped along with them speaking about there experience and what they had seen. Borders which doesn't exist between different communities and countries but what they think of are just the people they have to save with all the difficulties they have to face.

7) WOUND CARE
Anything that breaks the skin surface is a wound and there is always a risk of infection. Physicians come across millions of wounds and injuries every single day. The deeper, larger or dirtier a wound is, the more care it requires. Cutting Edge is conducting a ‘Wound Care Workshop’ for IGCLA 2019.
Each wound that is encountered must be considered for repair and treatment independently. However there are a few basic steps that all wound treatment must include.
We will be teaching basic sutures, dressings, wound cleaning and wound management along with the relevant theory. Depending on the circumstances, whether you are involved in a simple laceration or a complex one or a vascular anastomosis, the suturing technique varies. We will be touching upon various basic suturing techniques. Properly dressing the wound is one of the most important first aid technique to be learned. Successful wound cleaning and treatment will prevent further complications. Let's learn wound care, that is a critical part of recovery.
