Prof. Raffaele De Amicis

Oregon State University, USA

Raffaele De Amicis is an Associate Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at Oregon State University. He has authored three books, contributed to 23 scientific journal papers, and either authored or co-authored over 177 scientific peer-reviewed conference papers. Dr. De Amicis has served as Principle Investigator of several multidisciplinary research projects funded by the European Commission, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, governmental agencies, and industry with an overall budget of >52 million dollars. Since relocating to the USA, his research has been funded through programs sponsored by National Science Foundation, U.S. Economic Development Administration, National Security Agency, Booz Allen Hamilton, Oregon Manufacturing Innovation Center, and Oregon State University. Dr. De Amicis received his Ph.D. in Design and Methods of Industrial Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Bologna, Italy. From 1999 until December 2002, he was a research fellow at the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics in Darmstadt, Germany and senior researcher at the Technical University of Darmstadt. Before arriving at OSU, he was the founding Director of GraphiTech, Center for Advanced Computer Graphics Technologies in Trento, Italy, where he was known for his leadership in science, technology, and innovation. Between 2003-16, acting as consulting professor, he has educated and mentored diverse groups of learners, from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds, principally in the undergraduate and graduate courses at the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science and at the ICT International Doctoral School, University of Trento. From 2010 to 2016, he has been the Vice-President of the Board of Directors at GraphicsMedia.net - International Network for the Cooperation in Applied Research in Computer Graphics, Multimodal and Multimedia Technologies, and Visual Interactive Digital Media Technologies, where he has developed strong competencies in how to build and manage successful multinational organizations.

Prof. Yasuyuki Tahara

University of Electro-Communications, Japan

Yasuyuki Tahara received his BSc and MSc in Mathematics from the University of Tokyo, Japan, and his Ph.D. in Information and Computer Science from Waseda University, Japan, in 1989, 1991, and 2003, respectively. He joined Toshiba Corporation in 1991. He was a visiting researcher at City University London, UK, from 1995 to 1996 and at Imperial College London, UK, from 1996 to 1997. He left Toshiba Corporation to join NII in 2003. He left NII to join the University of Electro-Communications in 2008. His research interests include formal verification of software and requirements engineering. Prof. Tahara is a member of the Information Processing Society of Japan, the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan, and the Japan Society for Software Science and Technology.

Prof. Abhishek Rhisheekesan

aiRender Technology Pvt Ltd

Abhishek Rhisheekesan is Founder and CEO of aiRender Technology Pvt Ltd, a startup working on the next leap in video conferencing. Prior to this, he was heading the Graphics Architecture Labs at Intel. He was one of the recipients of the 2nd highest technical awards at Intel, for his contributions to 3D graphics performance analysis. He holds a MS degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University, and was awarded Outstanding Graduating MS student in Computer Science. He holds 3 US patents in 3D graphics architecture and 4 ACM/IEEE publications. Further details are available at https://www.linkedin.com/in/abhishek-rhisheekesan . aiRender has won a global startup competition TGS100 conducted by TiE Global and ISB Hyderabad in 2022. aiRender won two national level startup competitions - LIVE X 2022 conducted by DST, Deloitte, IIMK and MRPL, Medtech Innovation Call 2023 conducted by AMTZ, MeitY, NITI Aayog, AIM, birac, and Bio-NEST and Pitch 10.0 2022 conducted by IIML EIC. aiRender has been one of the top ten finalists at Shark Tank 2.0 2022 startup competition conducted by eDC at IIT Delhi, and runner up at Elevate 2021 startup contest conducted by Karnataka startup cell, and one of the top 8 finalists at Fuel Up Karnataka 2022 conducted by Plutus and Startup India Beat and finalists at Demo Day conducted by Venture Devils at ASU in 2020, 2021, and 2022. aiRender is part of Venture Devils incubator at Arizona State University, IIM Kozhikode's LIVE accelerator, iHuB Gujarat, RISE CUSAT Kochi, Amrita TBI, AMTZ Medivalley Incubator, and IIM Lucknow's EIC (Enterprise Incubation Centre). aiRender has filed 2 patents and submitted 5 ACM/IEEE/Elsevier publications.

Prof. Niranjan U C

President, Biomedical Engineering Society of India

Niranjan U C obtained his Ph D in Electrical Science from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1993. He was a visiting Researcher at PARAMA Bio-monitoring Institute, Fukuoka, Japan in 1994 and1996. He is an Adjunct Professor at E&C Department of MIT, Manipal and former Director of Research & Training at Manipal Dot Net, Manipal. He is the president of BMESI, and past Chair of IEEE Mangalore Sub-section. He was the recipient of IEEE EMBS best student paper award in 1992 at Paris and Young Achiever paper award at ISCE, Arizona in 1996. He was felicitated with Distinguished Alumnus award by NITK during their Diamond Jubilee celebrations in the year 2019.
