Preconference Event details

This one-day tutorial session aims to equip the participants of the ICQTA 2024 and other participants such as graduate students, postdocs and early career scientists with fundamental knowledge on various quantum technologies and impart some practical insights into this area. This event will prepare the attendees to engage well with the subject oriented sessions of ICQTA 2024, and moreover, facilitate knowledge exchange to participants.

Pre-conference Tutorial

The tutorial session will be led by expert members of the CQuICC – Centre for Quantum Information, Communication and Computing, IIT Madras

11:00 to 12:30	Tensor products, Quantum Entanglement, Quantum Teleportation, Entanglement Swapping and their experimental realizations by Dr. V. Balakrishnan
12.30 - 14.00	Lunch
14:00 to 15:30	Quantum Optics (Fock states, coherent states, squeezed states etc.) by Dr. S Lakshmibala
15.30 - 16:00	High Tea
16:00- 17:30	Superconducting Qubits, Ion Traps and Hardware for Quantum Technologies by Dr. Anil Prabhakar
