Dr. Varun Acharya

Dr. Varun Acharya obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Saveetha Dental College. He graduated at the top of his class and was selected as the Best Outgoing Student on graduation. He pursued his post graduate education in the United States of America where he completed four years of post-graduate Prosthodontic training at the New York University, College of Dentistry where he specialized in full mouth rehabilitations, dental implants, veneers, crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays and dentures. At NYU, he was a recipient of the Adisman Award for being the most outstanding graduating prosthodontic resident. After New York, he continued his post graduate education at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where he completed a fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Oncologic Dentistry. At MD Anderson, his focus was primarily on the maxillofacial rehabilitation of the cancer survivor. Besides intra-oral prosthetic devices, Dr. Varun Acharya also rehabilitates cancer survivors with silicone facial prosthetics.

Dr. Acharya has presented numerous table clinics and research papers in conferences in India and abroad. His research and scholarly articles have also been published in peer reviewed international journals such as the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, The Journal of Prosthodontics and The International Journal of Prosthodontics.

Dr. Acharya is currently the consultant Maxillofacial Prosthodontist and Implantologist at Acharya Dental, Chennai. He is also the consultant Maxillofacial Prosthodontist and Implantologist at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata, where his work primarily involves the maxillofacial rehabilitation of cancer survivors. Dr. Acharya completed the American Board of Prosthodontics certification exam making him the only American Board Certified Maxillofacial Prosthodontist in India.

Dr. PC Jacob

With 25 years of experience, Dr. Jacob is a Prosthodontist at one of the best dental hospital in Bangalore. His expertise lies in the fields of implantology, full mouth rehabilitation, and maxillofacial prosthodontics (rehabilitating oral cancer patients ).

After completing his BDS from MCODS, Manipal and his Masters in Prosthodontics from Annamalai University, he completed a one-year Residency Program in Cert, In Maxillofacial Prosthetics(UCLA) Medical Center, California, USA, on an American Cancer Society fellowship. During his residency, he worked closely with Dr. John Beumer Ill, an eminent Maxillofacial Prosthodontist and Implantologist. Since the Maxillofacial clinic at UCLA is also the Center for Implant Dentistry, he received training in this field as well.

He has published articles in journals like the lournal of Prosthodontics. Other than India, he has lectured and conducted courses in countries like Bahrain, Indonesia, China, Sri Lanka etc.

Dr Jacob is a key opinion leader for the 3M dental company and conducts training courses for dentists. He is an active member of the Indian prosthodontics society and has been a member of the executive council, Indian Dental association and International society of Maxillofacial Rehabilitation.

Dr. Sagar Abichandani

Dr. Sagar completed his BDS from DY Patil Dental College, Navi Mumbai and MDS in Prosthodontics from SDM College of Dental Sciences, Dharwad. He is currently the owner at The Dental Hub, Mumbai.
He has won various awards including Youngest Achiever's Award By Indian Dental Association, Budding Dentist Award By The Indian Dentist Researchers And Reviewers (IDRR), Pierre Fauchard Academy Award For Outstanding Achievements in Dentistry, Gem of India award, Specialist dentist of the year ( prosthodontics) award and Prosthodontist of the year. He is a member Indian Dental Association, International College of Prosthodontists (ICP), Asian Academy of Prosthodontics (AAP), Dental Practitioners Forum of India (DPFI), International Association of General Dentistry (IAGD) and American College of Prosthodontics.

Dr. Varun Nambiar is a Maxillofacial surgeon and one of the best celebrity facial surgeons in the country. He has more than 14 years of experience in this field. He is also a social media influencer with almost 75k followers on Instagram. He completed his BDS from Vinayaka Missions Sankaracharyar University, Master of Business Administration (MBA), Health care and Hospital Administration from SMU Manipal, and MDS, Maxillofacial surgery from AJ Shetty Institute of Medical Science. His areas of special interest include maxillofacial trauma, dental implants, cosmetic nose surgery, hair transplant, tmj surgery, cosmetic facial surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery.

Dr. Ashith Acharya

Professor Ashith B. Acharya is a top 1% forensic researcher in the world and heads India's first exclusive department of forensic odontology in DM College of Dental Sciences in Dharwad. With 19 years' work experience, he teaches dental students, and serves as a consultant in forensic dental cases referred by police from across India. He is most famously known for providing opinion on bite mark analysis in the 2012 New Delhi sexual assault case (the Nirbhaya case). He has also provided opinion in historical anthropological/archaeological cases in India, such as the Annigeri samples and the Ajnala remains. As a graduate student pursuing forensic odontology in the University of Adelaide in 2001, he assisted in the re-identification of an Australian citizen who perished in the World Trade Center attack of 11 September 2001. Dr. Acharya is a founder-member of the Indian Association of Forensic Odontology and currently its Secretary. A keen researcher, he has published 45 journal articles, mostly in renowned international forensic and dental journals; he has also contributed to government reports, and chapters on forensic odontology in eminent textbooks such as Shafer's Oral Pathology.
