Presenting our esteemed keynote speaker of Manipal Dental Conference 2023, Dr. Neil Pande. He obtained his Bachelor of dental Science degree from MCODS in 1996. After his return to Nepal, he was instrumental along with other colleagues in establishing the first Dental Hospital of the country, National Dental Hospital in 1997. In the year 2000, he created ‘Healthy Smiles’ with a vision to bring the best of dentistry in Nepal with a main focus on better long term patient care with minimal invasion and prevention he was instrumental in setting up Nepal’s first dental hospital. He completed his MFGDP (UK) RCS (Eng) and MFDS RCS (Eng) from Royal College of Surgeon’s of England in 2001 and 2006 respectively. He got license of Dental Implants from Dentsply Academy issued in 2008. He has served as General Secretary of Nepal Dental Association, President of Centre for continuing Dental Education and Research, Coordinator for Royal College programs as well as Progressive Orthodontics USA. He also served in Toastmaster Club as a President and also the Rotary Club in various capacities. He has got the opportunity to be a speaker of TedX as Smile is the Human Connector. He shall be enlightening us on ’Guided Implantology for Precision and Predictability’ during his keynote lecture at MDC’2023.
Presenting to you one of the esteemed keynote speakers of Manipal Dental Conference 2023, Dr. Subraya Bhat. Dr. Bhat completed his Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery from Government Dental College, Bangalore, where he graduated at the top of his class. Further, he pursued his post graduate education from MCODS, Manipal in the field of Periodontics. He is a prominent member of the International Academy of Periodontology, Indian Society of Periodontology, the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (UK) and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. From beginning his early days as a tutor in Prosthodontics to earning his position as an the Head of Department of Periodontics and then the Associate Dean, Dr. Bhat has steadily climbed the rungs of excellence and left behind an impressive mark on the college we now call home. He has been a remarkably active scientific researcher and published over 50 research papers ranging from a thorough study into the natural remedies for diseases of the gingival tissue to a full mouth re-restoration of partially edentulous dentition. He Is currently working as an Associate Professor at the College of Dental Surgery affiliated to Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University in Dammam, KSA. Dr. Bhat has been an avid participant in various symposia across the globe and is now one of the finest periodontists the country has to offer and we at MCODS, Manipal are beyond honoured and thrilled to have him back as a part of our panel of guest speakers.
Presenting to you one of the esteemed keynote speakers of Manipal Dental Conference 2023, Dr. Subraya Bhat. Dr. Soni Stephen, alumnus of the batch of ’89 from MCODS Manipal, is our next key note speaker in the speciality of Pediatric Dentistry! Dr Soni Stephen is a specialist paediatric dentist based in Sydney, Australia. He is the current President of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Paediatric Dentistry (ANZSPD) and the Chair of Finance Committee of the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry (IAPD). He is a Fellow by examination of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons(FRACDS) and a Member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons(MRACDS) in the field of Paediatric Dentistry. He served on the RACDS Board of Studies in Paediatric Dentistry for 10 years and is an examiner in the general and specialist streams for the Royal College. Dr Stephen was an examiner for the Australian Dental Council for over 12 years and has examined at various universities in Australia and overseas. Dr Stephen opened Southside Paediatric Dentistry Miranda NSW, a state of art paediatric facility. He is also a longstanding member of the Rotary Australia Specialist Dental and Cleft Lip and Palate Team visiting National Hospital of Odontostomatology in Ho Chi Min City, Vietnam. Dr Stephen has lectured extensively both locally and internationally as a key note and guest speaker. He also happens to take interest in all aspects of paediatric oral health, including prevention and management of dental caries, behaviour management, pulp therapy, management of acute dento-alveolar trauma in children and young adults. Dr. Stephen is comitted to providing high quality specialist paediatric oral care to his patients. We are pleased to present the next keynote speaker of the Manipal Dental Conference 2023, Dr. Arindam Dutta. After completing his undergraduate and postgraduate education in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics in MCODS Manipal in 2005, Dr. Dutta subsequently joined his alma mater till 2009. Later, Dr Dutta went on to pursue a diploma in Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow, United Kingdom in 2007. He practiced as a General Dental Practitioner in London. He, then, pursued a Membership in Endodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh from 2012 till 2016. He was bestowed with a Fellowship in Dental Surgery in Restorative Dentistry by the Royal College of Surgeons of England, which is conferred by the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Dr. Dutta went on to become the Senior House Officer at Dundee Dental Hospital in 2011 and Speciality Registrar at Glasgow and Edinburgh Dental Hospitals in 2012 and 2013 respectively. At the Cardiff Dental School, Dr. Dutta joined as a consultant in Restorative Dentistry and Senior Lecturer in Endodontology in 2018. Endodontology MClinDent aims to aid in developing evidence-based practice and develop advanced clinical skills to become a mono-specialist in Endodontology. Dr. Dutta is the Interim Director of Taught Postgraduate Programs and Programme Lead for MClinDent Endodontology at Cardiff Dental School. Endodontic retreatment is considered complex and requires a range of restorative and endodontic treatment strategies to enable efficacious and effective management. Dr. Dutta would be enlightening our delegates on the importance of recognising complex case scenarios, undertaking appropriate decision-making skills and developing knowledge about a range of techniques to manage such cases. Our esteemed speaker is a distinguished Prosthodontist and implantologist with over 11 years of experience in the field of aesthetic dentistry He obtained his undegraduate degree from MAHE, Manipal, India in 2006 and earned his Master’s degree in Prosthodontics and Implantology from Saveetha Dental College, Chennai, India in 2011. Later on, he went on to pursue his fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, UK. Clearing the Membership in Prosthodontics examination, he is now a Member and a Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh UK. Presently, he is an Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and also a fellow of ICOl (International Congress of Oral Implantologists). Dr Agarwal is a acclaimed speaker and conducts courses and workshops on Veneers and Smile Designing in India and abroad. Being a certified Smile Designer, he has extensive knowledge in the Art & Science of Esthetic Dentistry. Dr. Ritul has years of academic and clinical experience and has worked with some of the finest dental clinics and institutions. He has also launched a youtube channel with a goal to provide us with high quality and informative content that is both engaging and interacting. After many years of service at Mediclinic, Dubai, Dr Agarwal is now associated to the International Center for Dental Excellence (IDE), Abu Dhabi.
