Guidelines for Poster presentation
- Participants must bring their own printed posters.
- Posters should be of 3 ft X 4 ft in portrait orientation.
- Posters will be presented to the judges during the poster presentation session.
- Prepare for about 3 minutes of presentation to the judges.
- In order to convey a series of points effectively, use numbered or bulleted lists.
- Do not set entire content in uppercase (all capitals) or boldface type.
- Font size to be used should be large enough to read from a distance of 3 to 4 feet.
- Poster Title: Prepare a banner at the top of the poster indicating the abstract title, authors, affiliations, and presenter’s name should be underlined.
- Poster content can include the following (but, not restricted to) points
- Introduction
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
Guidelines for Oral presentation
Format
Total duration: 10 minutes per speaker
- Presentation: 7 minutes
- Question and answer: 3 minutes
When preparing your presentation slides, please note the following
- Use Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Slides must be set in 16:9 format (on PowerPoint, click on 'Design' tab/ select slide size 'Widescreen [16:9]’)
- Font size recommended: 32-36 for the title and 24-28 for the text
- For text clarity, we suggest using the following fonts: Arial, Verdana or Tahoma.
- In the first slide, indicate the title of the work, authors & their affiliations along with your college, university/company’s name
- Do not overload the slides with information. Do not read from the slide word by word. It is advisable to follow eight/eight rule which says maximum of 8 words in a line & not more than 8 lines in a slide.
- If you are using a video:
- Video file must be provided separately from presentation (must be in MP4 format )
- Please ensure you use a holding slide where the video is to be inserted/ label your video file clearly.
- Please submit your presentation slides to xrhealthcare.sc@gmail.com in advance of the conference, latest by 17 July 2023. This will allow enough time to test the presentations/videos, to ensure smooth running on the day. Please rest assured all data will be treated confidentially.
- Slide changer along with a pointer shall be provided by the organizers
- There will not be any interruption by the audience during the presentation. Queries & questions are directed to the presenter at the end of the presentation
