The Department of Atomic and Molecular Physics is an advanced research hub and teaching department in the field of Nanoscience and Biophotonics at Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Through government and industry funding, the department has established world-class research labs in the field of Raman Tweezers, multi-modal spectroscopic technology, nanoscale interfaces and applications, nanosensors, nano-biophotonics, ultrafast lasers, and its applications. In addition, the department is creating skilled manpower through their unique graduate, post-graduate & doctoral programmes in Photonics as well as Nanoscience and Technology.
