The theme “Contemporary Approaches to Libraries: Emerging Technologies, Services, and Skills” highlights libraries as dynamic knowledge institutions responding to changing user needs, professional roles, and institutional expectations. - Objectives of the Conference
The objectives of 7th NACML 2027 are to:
- To facilitate national level sharing of contemporary research and professional practices in Library and Information Science
- To explore emerging technologies, digital resources and user-centric library services.
- To discuss emerging trends in scholarly publishing and bibliometrics
- To examine evolving professional competencies, leadership, and skill development in libraries

The 7th NACML 2027 aims to foster scholarly dialogue, strengthen professional collaboration, promote evidence based library practice, and contribute to the advancement of Library and Information Science. The conference seeks to reinforce libraries' evolving role as vital institutions supporting education, research, and societal development.

Original research papers, case studies, and conceptual papers aligned with the conference sub themes are invited.
Submission Guidelines
- Submissions of papers should be based on research or practical experience
- Authors can submit their full papers through an e-mail attachment to lisconference@manipal.edu.
- The paper should not exceed 3000 words and contain an abstract of 100-200 words.
- The main title should be followed by the name, affiliation, and address of the author(s) with e-mail and mobile number.
- The paper should be in MS Word format, with a Times New Roman font size of 12, a line spacing of 1.5, A4, a keyword of 3-5 words, and a paper length of 3-8 pages.
- All references should be presented according to the APA Style
- The paper should be sent with the declaration letter stating that the work is original and not presented/published anywhere else.
Last date for submission of full papers: 28.12.2026
Paper Presentation Formats
To ensure effective dissemination of knowledge and meaningful interaction, all selected papers will be presented orally.
Oral Presentation
- Papers of scholarly merit, relevance and originality will be selected for oral presentation.
- Each paper will be allotted a specific time slot for presentation and discussion.
Note: The final decision on paper selection for oral presentation will be based on their quality, relevance, and overall contribution to the conference theme.
- Proceedings
After the 7th NACML-2027, the Organizing Committee proposes to bring out proceedings in e-book format with an ISBN, which will include only the selected papers presented in the conference after a plagiarism check using Turnitin similarity index software.
