POSTER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

  • Poster presentations are categorized as follows:
    • Conceptual Poster: This category is for presenting concepts, ideas, or literature reviews related to the participant's chosen presentation topic.
    • Research Poster: Participants can present their research work that aligns with the presentation topics. This can include an entire research project or a specific part of it.
  • All posters must be prepared and presented in English. Each poster will be allocated one display panel.
  • Posters should measure approximately 50 inches in height by 36 inches in width (or 4 feet by 3 feet). We recommend using durable and lightweight material for your poster.
  • Please note that electrical outlets, spotlights, or microphones will not be provided for poster presentations. There will be no e-poster presentation option; therefore, participants must print and bring their physical posters.
  • Your poster should be self-explanatory, allowing you to elaborate on specific points when engaging with judges. Ensure your poster is readable from a distance of 6 feet (2 meters).
  • Posters must be affixed only to the panel provided, which will be designated by a specific panel code number. Avoid overcrowding or cramming too many numbers and characters into tables. All figures, tables, photographs, and other visuals must be accompanied by legends, titles, and sources for clear identification and to prevent copyright issues.
  • Commercial advertisements, company logos, or promotional content are strictly prohibited on posters. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the disqualification of the entire team.
  • The MAHE ISPE SC logo must be placed in the top-Left corner of the poster, and the Poster code below the logo, the participant’s college logo must be placed on the top-right corner of the poster. The necessary logo files are available for download at the end of this page. The presenting author's name should be underlined or italicized on the poster.

Recommended Design Guidelines:

For optimal readability, we suggest the following font sizes and styles:

  • Suggested Font: Arial (or any easily readable font)
  • Title: Arial (54 pt.)
  • Author(s) Name: Arial (40 pt.)
  • Figure Citations: Arial (28 pt. or higher)
  • Remaining Text: Arial (36 pt.)

ORAL PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

  • Oral presentations are divided into two distinct categories:
    • Conceptual Presentation: Participants are welcome to present any concept, idea, or literature review pertaining to their chosen presentation topic.
    • Research Presentation: This category is for participants to present their original research work.
  • The presenting author must participate individually on the event day. While co-authors are welcome to attend and support their team member, only the presenting author will deliver the presentation.
  • Presentations are strictly limited to 7 minutes, followed by a 3-minute question-and-answer session. Adherence to these time limits is crucial, and failure to comply may result in disqualification or negative scoring.
  • During the question-and-answer segment, only the judges will be permitted to ask questions of the participant.
  • It is mandatory to use Microsoft PowerPoint for your presentation. Please note that online design tools such as Canva, and other presentation software such as Keynote are not permitted.
