Abstract Submission Guidelines

1. Eligibility

  • Abstracts are invited from students, researchers, clinicians, academicians, public health professionals, and industry experts working in virology and allied disciplines.
  • Submissions may include original research, surveillance studies, modelling approaches, diagnostics, case studies, or systematic analyses relevant to virology.

2. Review & Presentation Allocation

  • All abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the VIROGLOBAL 2026 Scientific Committee.
  • Based on scientific merit, relevance, and originality, abstracts will be selected for Oral or Poster presentation.
  • Authors cannot choose the presentation type; the final decision rests with the Scientific Committee.
  • The committee’s decision will be final and binding.

3. Abstract Structure

Abstracts should be written in English and structured as follows:
  • Title
  • Authors and Affiliations
  • Background
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion

4. Word Limit

  • Maximum 300 words (excluding title, authors, and affiliations).
  • Abstracts exceeding the word limit may be rejected without review.

5. Keywords

  • Provide 3–5 keywords reflecting the core content of the study.

6. Ethics & Compliance

  • Studies involving human participants, animals, or clinical samples must have obtained appropriate ethics committee approval, or clearly state if not required.
  • The Scientific Committee reserves the right to request proof of ethics approval if needed.

7. Originality & Prior Publication

  • Abstracts must describe original work that has not been presented at another international / national conference.
  • Simultaneous submission to multiple conferences is not permitted.
  • The abstracts will be screened for AI-generated content and plagiarism.

8. Conflict of Interest & Funding

  • Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Funding sources, if any, should be clearly mentioned.

9. Submission Process

  • Abstracts must be submitted only through the official Abstract Submission Form.
  • Email submissions will not be accepted.
  • The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all submitted information.

10. Acceptance & Registration

  • Acceptance of an abstract does not imply free registration.
  • At least one author must complete conference registration for the abstract to be included in the final program.

11. Certificate & Publication

  • Presentation certificates will be issued only to registered presenters.
  • Selected abstracts may be considered for conference proceedings or special journal issues (if applicable).

*Please note: The Scientific Committee reserves the right to conduct checks for plagiarism and AI-generated content. However, it is solely the authors' responsibility to ensure that their abstracts remain within the permissible similarity limit of 15%.

SUBMIT ABSTRACT

Oral Presentation Guidelines

  • Total time: 10 minutes
    • a. 8 minutes presentation
    • b. 2 minutes discussion
  • Recommended 10–12 slides
  • Suggested slide structure: Title, Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion
  • Presentations should be submitted in PPT/PPTX format to viroglobal@manipal.edu on or before 31st March, 2026
  • The first slide must be the official template provided by the VIROGLOBAL Scientific and Organizing Committee

ORAL PRESENTATION TEMPLATE

Poster Presentation Guidelines

1. Poster Size
  • 3.5 ft (Height) × 4 ft (Width)
  • Landscape orientation
2. Poster Content
  • Include the following sections: Title, Authors & Affiliations, Introduction, Objectives, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References, Acknowledgements.
  • The presenting author’s name should be underlined and must match the submitted abstract.
  • Ensure all figures are clear and high resolution.
3. Mandatory Information
  • Poster must include the Institute Logo, Theme, and Presentation ID
  • Use the official poster template.
4. Font Size
  • Title: 80–100 pt, Headings: 40–50 pt, Body text: 28–36 pt
  • Use clear fonts such as Arial, Calibri, or Helvetica.
5. Printing & Display
  • Posters must be printed in advance.
  • Printing facilities will not be available at the venue.
  • Poster boards will be provided.
  • Posters should be mounted before the session begins.
