PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS - 28 August 2025 (Limited seats)

AI in Drug Discovery and Development

Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionising drug design by rapidly predicting molecular interactions, enabling researchers to identify promising drug candidates with greater speed and accuracy. In drug development, AI accelerates clinical trial design and patient recruitment through advanced data analytics and predictive modelling. By integrating AI into the drug discovery pipeline, pharmaceutical companies can significantly reduce costs and time-to-market for new therapies.

Application of DoE in Pharmaceutical Development

The workshop will cover theoretical principles and hands-on training in Quality by Design (QbD) methodology, including Design of Experiments (DoE); screening designs such as Full Factorial Design, Fractional Factorial Design, Plackett–Burman Design, and Taguchi Design; and response surface methods including Central Composite Designs, Box–Behnken Designs, and Mixture Designs, with suitable case studies.

Analytical Applications in Drug Discovery & Drug Delivery

Analytical techniques have transformed the drug discovery and development landscape by enabling precise bioanalysis, in-depth characterization, and stringent quality control. HPLC and LC-MS are indispensable in pharmacokinetic studies, metabolite identification, and impurity profiling, ensuring new drug candidates' safety, efficacy, and regulatory compliance. Beyond bioanalysis, cutting-edge imaging and surface characterization methods such as SEM, TEM, and AFM are shaping the next generation of advanced drug delivery systems. These technologies offer critical insights into drugs' structural and functional behaviour at both molecular and macroscopic levels. Join us to explore how integrating these powerful analytical platforms accelerates innovation and paves the way for safer, more innovative, and more effective therapeutics.
